Horwitz, et al. v. University of Washington

Faculty Challenge UW's Administration of Retirement Plans 

Plaintiffs bring suit against the University of Washington for breach of contract on behalf of themselves and a putative class of similarly situated individuals.  Plaintiffs maintain, among other claims, that the University breached their retirement contracts with participating faculty when they failed to provide the total amount of employer matching contributions owed under the terms of the plan.  Litigation in this case is active and ongoing.  More information can be found on the case page by following the "Read More" button on the left.

Rush v. State of Washington

Part-Time Community College
Faculty Denied Appropriate Sick Leave 

This class action was brought on behalf of part-time Washington community and technical college faculty who did not receive their pro-rated amount of sick leave provided under state statute.  The Superior Court recently held that class members are employed on written contracts and the statute of limitations allows class members to recoup sick leave from 2006 forward.  Litigation in this case is active and ongoing.  More information regarding proceedings can be found on the case page by following the "Read More" button to the left.

Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center & University of Washington

Data Breach Litigation

Stobaugh & Strong have brought these actions against Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center and the University of Washington after a data breach at Fred Hutch in November 2023 compromised the patient records of over 800,000 individuals.  Litigation in this case is active and ongoing.  More information can be found on the case page by following the "Read More" button.
